Several scholarships are offered to current students and to the community. Please be sure to check out scholarships that are offered. The deadline each year is April 30th. Be sure to submit your essay to apply.
One $250 college scholarship will be awarded each June to a deserving graduating senior residing in Chatham or Randolph County (public, private, or homeschool) that will be majoring in the arts (dance, music, theater, etc.). Applications must be submitted by April 30 to scholarships@SilerCityDance.com subject heading “College Scholarship” telling us in 1000 words or less, why you are majoring in the arts and what you plan to do with your degree. Please include in your email, full name, high school, and college that you will be attending along with your contact information. Open to current students and public.
Each June we choose one student through an essay contest for a partial (½ tuition) scholarship. The scholarship contest is open to all students residing in Chatham or Randolph County (public, private, and homeschool). To enter, students need to submit an essay of 500 words or less on what dance or gymnastics means to them and how taking lessons would be beneficial to them. Essays must be submitted by April 30 to scholarships@SilerCityDance.com subject heading “essay contest”. Please include in your email, child’s name, parents’ names, contact information, and school that you attend. If the essay is handwritten, please scan and submit. Open to current students and public.
Financial Assistance Scholarships
We award two partial (½ tuition) scholarships each June to a deserving student who is in financial need. To apply please email scholarships@SilerCityDance.com subject line “Financial Assistance”. A brief description of why we should choose you for the scholarship along with income verification should be submitted by April 30. We believe that children participating in the arts have an educational head start and are proud to offer our services to those who otherwise may not be able to afford it. Open to current students only.
There is an automatic scholarship of $425 available from “Military Kids” for every
child who has a parent who is deployed. This is a scholarship offered through the
